Connect Gemini CLI to Robylon

Add the Robylon MCP server to Gemini CLI, sign in with your Robylon account, and ask Gemini about your support analytics and conversations.

To connect Gemini CLI to Robylon, add the server with the command below, then run /mcp auth robylon inside Gemini CLI to sign in with your Robylon account.

gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user robylon https://api.robylon.ai/mcp/

You need an Admin or Super-admin role in each Robylon workspace you connect. See Setup for the full requirements.

How do I connect Gemini CLI?

Add the server

Run the command above. --scope user makes Robylon available in every folder. Without it, Gemini CLI saves the server for the current project only.

Sign in to Robylon

Start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth robylon. Your browser opens Robylon’s sign-in page: sign in, tick the workspaces to include and click Connect.

Run /mcp auth on its own to list the servers that still need you to sign in.

Can I add Robylon to the Gemini settings file instead?

Yes. Add this to ~/.gemini/settings.json, or to .gemini/settings.json in a project:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "robylon": {
      "httpUrl": "https://api.robylon.ai/mcp/"
    }
  }
}

Use httpUrl, not url. In Gemini CLI, url means a different connection type and the Robylon connection fails with it.

What if the Gemini CLI connection does not work?

  • Sign in on a machine with a browser. Sign-in opens a local browser window, so it fails over SSH without a display or inside a container.
  • If a workspace is missing from answers, sign in again and tick it. See Which workspaces does a connection include?
  • If Robylon refuses the connection, the page it shows explains why. See Why can’t I connect?
