# Connect YouTube to Robylon to Answer Video Comments

Connect your YouTube channel so Robylon can collect comments on your videos and answer them with AI or from your team, using workflow triggers for new comments and videos.

Connecting YouTube lets Robylon collect the comments on your videos and reply to them. AI agents can answer common questions in the comments, and your team can pick up the rest.

Open it from **Settings → Channels → YouTube**.

## How do I connect a YouTube channel?

Click **Connect YouTube channel** and sign in with the Google account that manages the channel.

    In **Connect YouTube Channel**, tick the permissions Robylon may use (see below), or use **Select all**, and click **Continue**.

    Sign in with a Google account that owns or manages the channel, and approve access.

    The channel appears under **Connected YouTube Channels** with its **Subscribers**, **Status**, **Quota Used** and **Last Sync**.

If **Connect YouTube channel** is greyed out, email support@robylon.ai to turn on the YouTube channel for your workspace.

You can connect more than one YouTube channel. To change a channel's permissions later, update them and sign in again to approve.

## Which permissions can I give?

Permissions come in groups. You can add more later.

To collect and answer comments, select **Read YouTube account** and **Manage comments & interactions**. Robylon reads your channel, videos and comments and posts replies to comments. It does not upload videos, change your channel or moderate comments.

## How does Robylon collect comments?

Robylon checks connected channels for new activity every 10 minutes. Each check collects:

- new comments on your videos
- replies to comments
- comments held for review
- comments YouTube marks as likely spam
- newly published videos

Each of these can start a workflow, using triggers such as **When a new comment is received**, **When a reply is received on a comment**, **When a comment needs moderation**, **When a comment is marked as spam** and **When a new video is published**. **Quota Used** shows how much of the YouTube API quota the channel has used. YouTube limits how many requests each app can make per day.

## How are comments answered?

Replies are posted in the comment's thread, as plain text. Buttons, carousels and other rich content from an AI agent are left out, because YouTube comments cannot show them.
