## Key takeaways

- Need chat, email, voice and WhatsApp from one setup at a price you can read today: Robylon, free to start with 300 credits a month and paid plans from $25 a month.
- Want the same enterprise buying model as Ada with more voice languages: Decagon (70+ for voice) or Sierra (59), both quote only as of October 2026.
- Already on Salesforce: Agentforce at $2 per conversation inside Service Cloud, or Fin at $0.99 per outcome on the helpdesk you keep; Salesforce has owned Fin since 10 September 2026.
- Contact center on NiCE CXone or Genesys Cloud: Cognigy, owned by NICE since 8 September 2025, or Kore.ai, which bills its AI agents per 15-minute session.
- Want a free plan on an enterprise platform with 35+ channels: Yellow.ai, free for 500 chat sessions a month, then $0.99 per resolution.
- Staying on Zendesk, one of the helpdesks Ada hands over to: Zendesk's own AI agents, at $1.50 to $2.00 per automated resolution.

The strongest Ada alternatives in October 2026 are Robylon for an [AI agent that takes action](https://www.robylon.ai/platform/overview) across email, chat, voice and WhatsApp, all connected natively, with published prices and a free plan; Decagon and Sierra for enterprises that want Ada's sales-led model from another vendor; and Fin and Salesforce Agentforce for teams on Salesforce. Kore.ai and Cognigy suit large contact centers that want AI agents built around their telephony. Zendesk suits teams staying on Zendesk, one of the helpdesks Ada hands over to, and Yellow.ai suits enterprises that need dozens of channels and a free plan to start.

Ada is a mature enterprise AI agent: its Reasoning Engine serves chat, email, voice and social, it answers in 60 languages for chat and email, and since September 2026 it acts through API, code and MCP tools. Teams evaluating it look elsewhere when they need a published price, billing that does not charge for handed-over conversations, or WhatsApp connected directly rather than through another vendor's messaging layer. Every tool below is judged on three things: whether the agent takes the action a ticket needs, whether every channel runs from one setup, and whether it fits the stack you already run.

Prices checked October 2026 on each vendor's pricing page. G2 ratings read October 2026, with the review count in brackets.

Robylon publishes this page and ranks itself first; every tool on the list, Robylon included, gets the same "Where it falls short" line.

## What Ada does

Ada is an AI agent platform for enterprise customer service teams, headquartered in Toronto, serving 350+ businesses in 85+ countries. One Reasoning Engine, launched on 18 February 2026, runs the agent across chat, email, voice and social messaging. The agent answers from Knowledge in 60 languages for chat and email and 42 for voice, and acts through Ada Computer tools (API tools, sandboxed Python code tools and MCP tools) launched on 24 September 2026. Playbooks, Processes and Coaching let a CX team manage the agent without engineering. Ada hands conversations to the team's helpdesk or contact center, bills most customers per conversation, publishes no prices, and holds SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, PCI DSS and AIUC-1.

## Why teams look beyond Ada

### No published price

www.ada.cx/pricing redirects to the demo request page as of 7 October 2026. The [Ada platform page](https://www.ada.cx/platform/) describes conversation-based and resolution-based pricing but gives no rate for either, so a team cannot estimate a bill before a sales process.

### Handovers billed per conversation

Most Ada customers choose conversation-based pricing, under which every conversation the AI agent has is billed. A conversation the agent hands to a person still counts. Ada offers a resolution-based model to enterprises with specific needs, but its terms are not published.

### WhatsApp through Sunshine Conversations

Ada's marketing pages list WhatsApp, SMS and Messenger, but its docs set up WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, X DMs and Twilio SMS through [Zendesk Sunshine Conversations](https://docs.ada.cx/docs/channels/social/sunshine-conversations-setup). Only Instagram has a direct Meta integration. A team that wants WhatsApp as a first-class channel adds a second vendor's messaging layer between the customer and Ada.

### Channels not in every package

Ada's [social channel docs](https://docs.ada.cx/docs/channels/social/social-channel-onboarding) carry a note that social channels and voice "may not be included" in a subscription package. A buyer confirms what the contract covers channel by channel.

### Sales-led access only

Ada has no free plan, free trial or self-serve signup as of October 2026, so testing an agent on your own tickets starts with a demo request.

### Escalations land in another helpdesk

Ada hands conversations to the human team's helpdesk or contact center, with docs for Zendesk, Salesforce, Amazon Connect, ServiceNow, Genesys, Gorgias, Freshchat, Help Scout, Twilio Flex, Gladly, Dixa and NICE CXone. The team runs that helpdesk or contact center beside Ada, and the AI agent hands work into it rather than running inside it.

## Three kinds of Ada alternatives

Three kinds of product get called Ada alternatives, and they solve different problems.

- **AI agent platforms**: an agent that answers and resolves across channels, standalone or alongside a helpdesk. Robylon, Decagon, Sierra, Fin and Yellow.ai belong here. All five take actions in other systems. Robylon and Fin also run inside existing helpdesks; Decagon and Sierra hand conversations to one; Yellow.ai hands over to one or uses its own Inbox.
- **Contact center AI platforms**: AI agents built for large contact centers, with their own voice gateways and fixed flows beside generative ones. Kore.ai and Cognigy belong here. Both take actions in other systems, and both hand over to Genesys Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud; Kore.ai also sells its own contact center.
- **Helpdesk and CRM suites with their own AI agent**: ticketing, inbox and reporting for a human team, with an AI agent added and billed on top. Zendesk and Salesforce Agentforce belong here. Their agents take actions but run only inside their own helpdesk or CRM.

Ada sits in the first kind, close to the second. For Ada's model from another vendor, look at Decagon, Sierra, Kore.ai and Cognigy; for published prices, a free plan or the agent inside your helpdesk, look at Robylon, Fin, Yellow.ai and the suites.

## How we compared the tools

We read each vendor's pricing page, help centre or docs, product pages and trust page on 7 October 2026, and each tool's G2 page the same day. Where a vendor publishes no price, the table says so rather than estimating one. We did not run hands-on tests for this page.

We compared them on what the AI agent can resolve, channels covered, where each runs, billing model, setup effort, and how each works for support agents and team leads.

## The 9 best Ada alternatives

### 1. Robylon

**Best for:** support teams that want an AI agent to resolve tickets end to end across email, chat, voice and WhatsApp, all connected natively, with published prices.

**What it is for:** Robylon is an AI customer support platform that resolves tickets across email, chat, voice and WhatsApp. It works standalone or alongside an existing helpdesk. It takes the action a ticket needs: agents read the systems the answer lives in, including orders, accounts and bookings, act through tools built from your APIs and connected apps, and pass anything they cannot finish to a person with the checking already done. Every channel runs from one setup, sharing the same agents, knowledge base and analytics. And it fits the stack you already run, inside your helpdesk or standalone. For a gaming company, Robylon [resolves over 95% of queries automatically](https://www.robylon.ai/customer-stories/robylons-ai-agent-resolves-knowledge-base-queries-for-a-gaming-company).

**What the AI does:**

- A [triage agent](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/ai-agents/triage-agent) sends each conversation to the sub-agent for its topic, so refunds, order tracking and account changes each run on their own instructions.
- Agents call [tools built from your APIs](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/data-and-integrations/api-tools-functions) and from [32 pre-built integrations](https://www.robylon.ai/platform/integrations), among them Shopify, HubSpot, Salesforce and Google Sheets, to check an order, issue a refund or change an account. Custom API integrations are on the Business plan.
- The knowledge base answers from your sources, and the [KB gap report](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/improve/kb-gap) lists the questions it could not answer (Pro plan and above).
- Anything the agent cannot finish goes to a person with the conversation, intent and checks attached.
- [Evaluations](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/improve/evaluations) and [bulk knowledge base testing](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/knowledgebase/bulk-testing) score answers before and after a change, and [version history](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/ai-agents/version-history) restores an earlier version of an agent.
- [PII masking](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/privacy) hides 27 types of personal data by role across the inbox, tickets and voice call logs.

**Channels:** email, website and in-app chat, [voice](https://www.robylon.ai/platform/voice), [WhatsApp](https://www.robylon.ai/platform/whatsapp), Instagram, Facebook, SMS through Twilio, YouTube comments, and reviews on Google Play, the App Store and Google My Business, all on the [channels page](https://www.robylon.ai/docs/channels-connectors/channels). Robylon runs standalone with its own inbox and optional human seats, or inside Freshdesk, Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Salesforce, Vtiger, Intercom, Freshchat, SalesIQ and Gorgias. WhatsApp and email start on the Pro plan; voice phone calls and the Freshdesk, Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Intercom, Freshchat and Gorgias integrations start on Business.

**Pricing:** by AI credits rather than per conversation ([see pricing](https://www.robylon.ai/pricing)). The Starter plan is free with 300 credits a month (about 40 conversations), paid plans start at $25 a month for 500 credits, Business starts at $180 a month, and yearly billing takes 10% off. Seats for a human team are optional, at $19 to $89 per seat a month. G2 rating: [5.0 from 42 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/robylon-ai-robylon-ai/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** voice phone calls start on the Business plan at $180 a month, and Robylon publishes no per-minute voice price. Credits per conversation vary with the AI model, so the bill is harder to forecast than a contracted rate. The free Starter plan covers chat only, and plan changes go through an account manager because self-serve billing is not live yet.

**Where Ada does better:**

- **Compliance scope:** Ada holds PCI DSS and AIUC-1 alongside SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA. Robylon's site shows SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA and CPRA/CCPA.
- **Languages:** 60 for chat and email on Ada, against Robylon's over 40.
- **Contact center handoffs:** Ada's docs cover handoffs to Genesys, NICE CXone, Amazon Connect, Twilio Flex, ServiceNow, Gladly, Dixa and Help Scout, none of which is on Robylon's list of helpdesks it runs inside.
- **Travel systems:** Ada lists integrations with the airline systems Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport.
- **Enterprise scale:** Ada reports 550+ enterprise AI agents deployed and more than 100% year-over-year revenue growth (March 2026).

**Pick it if:** you want one AI agent that takes actions across email, chat, voice and WhatsApp, with published prices and a free plan to start, inside the helpdesk you keep or standalone. Choose Ada if your CX team already runs Playbooks and Processes on Ada, hands over to Genesys or NICE CXone, and needs PCI DSS from the AI vendor. For Robylon against another enterprise platform on this list, see [Robylon vs Yellow.ai](https://www.robylon.ai/compare/robylon-vs-yellow-ai).

### 2. Decagon: best for enterprise voice

**Best for:** enterprise support and CX teams that buy through sales and want voice and chat agents run from procedures written in plain language.

Decagon is the closest match to Ada's model: an enterprise AI agent platform sold through sales, with logic the CX team writes rather than codes. Its agents follow Agent Operating Procedures (AOPs), natural-language instructions that verify identity, issue refunds and take payments in connected systems. Duet drafts, tests and refines those procedures, and Decagon Assist, launched on 19 August 2026, gives human reps summaries, replies and actions inside Salesforce, Zendesk and Front.

Voice is where Decagon goes furthest. Its voice agent supports more than 70 languages, Voice 3 with the Chord speech model was announced on 1 October 2026, and Proactive Agents (March 2026) add outbound calls and user memory. Decagon also offers single-tenant cloud, deployment in the customer's own VPC and on-premises installs. Compare it with its own peers on our [Decagon alternatives](https://www.robylon.ai/blog/decagon-alternatives) page.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions in connected systems through pre-built connectors, APIs, MCP and SIP trunking.

**Channels:** voice (inbound and outbound), web chat, mobile app chat, SMS, WhatsApp, email, and a Personal Agent Gateway for customers' own AI agents. Escalations sync into Salesforce, Zendesk or Intercom, and calls hand off to Amazon Connect or RingCentral.

**Pricing:** per conversation or per resolution, quote only ([Decagon's pricing explainer](https://decagon.ai/blog/pricing-ai-agents)). Per-resolution pricing charges nothing for escalations; per-conversation pricing, which Decagon says most customers choose, charges every incoming conversation. G2: [4.8 from 29 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/decagon/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** no public price, free plan or self-serve signup, and docs.decagon.ai redirects to a login page. Decagon's public pages show no human-agent inbox of its own; escalations go to the team's helpdesk.

**Pick it if:** you want Ada's enterprise buying model from another vendor, with more voice languages and the option to run the agent in your own cloud or on premises.

### 3. Sierra: best for regulated enterprises

**Best for:** large enterprises, many in regulated industries, that want an AI agent in front of the contact center and the vendor's own team building it with them.

Sierra, co-founded by Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor, says it works with almost half of the Fortune 50. Agents are built in Agent Studio without code, or by prompting Ghostwriter with procedures, transcripts or recordings, alongside Sierra's agent development team. Sierra takes PCI-compliant card payments in voice and chat and holds FedRAMP High (June 2026), PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 27001, ISO 42001 and AIUC-1. Our [Sierra alternatives](https://www.robylon.ai/blog/sierra-alternatives) page compares it with its closest rivals.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions in systems of record, including returns, insurance claims and mortgage origination, through 40+ pre-built integrations plus custom ones.

**Channels:** voice (inbound and outbound), web chat, mobile app chat, WhatsApp, Apple Business Chat, SMS, email and a ChatGPT app, in 59 languages.

**Pricing:** per outcome, quote only ([Sierra's pricing explainer](https://sierra.ai/blog/outcome-based-pricing-for-ai-agents)). An escalated case usually carries no charge. G2: [4.5 from 131 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/sierra/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** no public price, free plan or self-serve signup, and docs.sierra.ai is behind a login. Sierra says half of its customers have revenue over $1 billion, and its contracts and process are sized for that scale.

**Pick it if:** you are a large enterprise that needs FedRAMP High or PCI DSS Level 1 from the AI vendor and wants to pay per agreed outcome.

### 4. Fin: best for per-outcome billing

**Best for:** support teams that want a per-outcome AI agent on a trial, on Intercom or on the helpdesk they already use.

Fin, formerly Intercom Fin, answers from your knowledge sources and takes actions through Procedures: plain-language instructions with conditions, code steps and sub-procedures that call any REST API or MCP connector. It runs on Intercom's own helpdesk, or inside Salesforce Service Cloud, HubSpot, Freshdesk and Freshchat, with Dixa, Front, Zoho, Sprinklr and Gorgias through sales. Salesforce [completed its acquisition of Fin](https://www.salesforce.com/news/press-releases/2026/09/10/salesforce-completes-acquisition-of-fin/) on 10 September 2026, so Fin and Salesforce Agentforce now share an owner. Our [Fin alternatives comparison](https://www.robylon.ai/blog/intercom-fin-alternatives) covers the agents that compete with it directly.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions through Procedures, data connectors and MCP connectors, in more than 45 languages for chat, email and social messaging.

**Channels:** Messenger live chat, email, WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Slack, Discord and the Fin Agent API natively; Fin Voice is sold to select customers through sales.

**Pricing:** $0.99 per outcome, with nothing charged when the customer asks for a person or Fin cannot answer. On the Intercom helpdesk, seats start at $85 a month billed annually (Advanced); on another helpdesk there is a 50-outcome monthly minimum ([Fin pricing](https://www.intercom.com/pricing)). G2: [4.5 from 3,918 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/fin/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** voice is not sold on published terms, and the per-outcome bill grows one for one with resolutions.

**Pick it if:** you want to start on a 14-day trial and pay a published price per outcome, without a sales contract for chat and email.

### 5. Salesforce Agentforce: best for Service Cloud

**Best for:** mid-market and enterprise service teams that already run Salesforce Service Cloud and want the AI agent inside their CRM.

Agentforce answers from Salesforce Knowledge and Data 360 and acts through standard and custom actions built with Flows, Apex, prompts and MuleSoft API connectors, plus MCP servers from AgentExchange partners. Casey, the help agent, schedules appointments, manages orders and escalates to a rep with full context, and is billed only when it resolves the issue.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions inside Salesforce and connected systems; Agentforce Voice updates records and creates cases on calls, in English (US, UK and Australia) as of October 2026.

**Channels:** web chat, in-app, help sites and portals, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Apple Messages for Business, LINE and voice. Salesforce pages read in October 2026 list no email channel for the customer-facing agent.

**Pricing:** $2 per conversation, $2 per resolution for Casey, or Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits. Service Cloud Core, the first edition that runs Agentforce, costs $195 per user a month billed annually ([Agentforce pricing](https://www.salesforce.com/agentforce/pricing/)). G2: [4.3 from 1,696 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/salesforce-agentforce/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** it runs inside Salesforce Service Cloud only, and chat handovers need Contact Center Digital at $75 per user a month on top of the Core seat.

**Pick it if:** your service team already works in Salesforce and wants published per-conversation or per-resolution prices from the CRM vendor.

### 6. Kore.ai: best for full contact centers

**Best for:** large enterprises in regulated industries that want AI agents, a contact center and quality scoring from one vendor.

Kore.ai's customer service line, AI for Service, runs on the Kore.ai Agent Platform, whose Artemis edition launched on 21 May 2026. Agents are written in Agent Blueprint Language or generated by the Arch AI architect from a plain-language brief, and they mix LLM reasoning with deterministic flows. Kore.ai also sells Contact Center AI, with agent and supervisor desktops, routing and workforce management, and Quality AI scores every voice and chat conversation.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions in customer systems, among them updating accounts, scheduling appointments and setting up autopay, through prebuilt integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Shopify and Stripe, plus HTTP, code and MCP tools, in more than 100 languages.

**Channels:** voice through Kore.ai's own voice gateway or your SIP telephony, web and mobile chat, email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, LINE, Telegram, Slack and Microsoft Teams; SMS through Twilio. Agents hand off to Kore.ai's contact center, Salesforce Service Cloud, Genesys Cloud, ServiceNow or Five9.

**Pricing:** AI agents are billed per 15-minute session of conversation, so a 31-minute conversation counts as 3 sessions, and contact center seats per agent; no rates are published, and kore.ai/pricing returns a not-found page ([Kore.ai billing docs](https://docs.kore.ai/ai-for-service/manage-assistant/plan-and-usage/billing-and-payments)). G2: [4.6 from 505 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/kore-ai/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** no published rates, and the free tier of the new platform is open only to approved email domains. Two product generations and their plan sets coexist during a rebrand as of October 2026, so a quote has to name the one it covers.

**Pick it if:** you want AI agents and the contact center behind them from one vendor, with FedRAMP Moderate authorization and self-hosted deployment available.

### 7. Cognigy: best for CCaaS contact centers

**Best for:** large enterprise contact centers on NiCE CXone or Genesys Cloud that want AI agents in front of them.

Cognigy has been owned by NICE since 8 September 2025 and is sold on its own or inside NiCE CXone. Its AI agents are given Jobs with Tools that call APIs, retrieve data, start workflows and hand over to people, and LLM-driven agents can be mixed with fixed, rule-based flows in one conversation, with fallback between model providers.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions, among them authentication, payments, bookings and record updates, through 110+ prebuilt tools and integrations plus MCP. Knowledge AI, which answers from documents, is licensed separately, and Agent Copilot assists human agents on voice and chat.

**Channels:** web chat, voice over SIP through Cognigy Voice Gateway, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, LINE, Microsoft Teams, Slack and Workplace from Meta; SMS through Twilio. Conversations hand over to NiCE CXone, Genesys Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, RingCentral Engage, 8x8, storm or Chatwoot.

**Pricing:** per billable conversation, counted as up to 50 user inputs in 24 hours, with voice billed by concurrent lines through Voice Gateway; quote only, and cognigy.com/pricing returns a not-found page ([Cognigy billing docs](https://docs.cognigy.com/ai/administer/billing)). G2: [4.6 from 13 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/cognigy-ai/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** an escalated conversation is still billed, because human-agent turns that flow through Cognigy count. Voice Gateway, Knowledge AI and Ops Center each need their own licence, and Cognigy's agent workspace, Live Agent, is in maintenance mode, so the human team needs a contact center platform.

**Pick it if:** your contact center runs on NiCE CXone or Genesys and you want AI agents that mix generative answers with fixed, auditable flows.

### 8. Zendesk: best for Zendesk teams

**Best for:** support teams that run, or plan to run, the Zendesk helpdesk and want its own AI agent.

Zendesk is one of the helpdesks Ada hands conversations to, and Ada runs WhatsApp and SMS through Zendesk Sunshine Conversations. Since a rollout in May and June 2026, Zendesk's own AI agents are on every Suite and Support plan, built from natural-language procedures with actions that read and write data in external systems. Each agent serves one channel type: messaging, email or voice. Voice AI agents became generally available in September 2026, in 53 languages.

**What the AI does:** answers and takes actions through integrations, replying in more than 80 languages.

**Channels:** email, web form, web messaging and live chat, mobile SDKs, voice (Zendesk Talk), WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, X DMs, LINE, WeChat and Slack; SMS through the Text add-on.

**Pricing:** $1.50 per committed automated resolution or $2.00 pay-as-you-go, on top of seats from $19 per agent a month billed annually (Support Team) or $55 (Suite Team) ([Zendesk pricing](https://www.zendesk.com/pricing/)). G2: [4.3 from 7,093 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/zendesk-for-customer-service/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** two AI billing models are live at once, and the resolution allowances introduced on 18 May 2026 have unpublished tier prices. The AI agent works only inside Zendesk, and messaging agents need a Suite plan.

**Pick it if:** your human team works in Zendesk and you want the AI agent and the helpdesk from one vendor, on published prices.

### 9. Yellow.ai: best for many channels

**Best for:** enterprise service teams automating chat, voice and email across many channels and languages.

Yellow.ai, formerly Yellow Messenger, builds agents in Nexus, which creates, tests and fixes them from plain-language instructions. Nexus Vox, its voice AI, launched on 11 May 2026, and Yellow.ai's own Inbox gives human agents a helpdesk across 35+ channels. Hosting is available in the US, EU, Singapore, India, Indonesia and the UAE.

**What the AI does:** answers from a knowledge base and takes actions through visual workflows, prebuilt integrations and MCP connectors that AI agents call mid-conversation, with escalation to a human in Inbox or call transfer.

**Channels:** website chat, email, voice over PRI or SIP, WhatsApp (including voice calling), SMS, RCS, Facebook Messenger and comments, Instagram, Apple Messages for Business, LINE, Telegram, Viber, Zalo, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat, Webex, Workplace from Meta, X, Threads, TikTok, YouTube comments, Google Location reviews, Shopee, Lazada and Tokopedia.

**Pricing:** the Free plan includes 1 AI agent and 500 chat sessions a month, then bills $0.99 per resolution; Enterprise, with unlimited agents and all channels, is quote only ([Yellow.ai pricing](https://yellow.ai/pricing/)). G2: [4.4 from 107 reviews (G2, October 2026)](https://www.g2.com/products/yellow-ai/reviews).

**Where it falls short:** the Enterprise price is not published, and the Free plan bills overage per resolution while the docs define no "resolution" as of October 2026. Rule-based agents cannot switch language mid-conversation, and PCI DSS covers the North America region only.

**Pick it if:** you need dozens of messaging, social and marketplace channels on one platform, with regional hosting, and want to start on a free plan.

## What to decide before switching

### Actions versus answers

Count what share of your tickets need the agent to act in another system (issue a refund, change an order, book an appointment) rather than answer from help content. Every tool on this list takes actions, but each reaches your systems a different way: Robylon, Decagon, Sierra and Fin through APIs and connectors, Kore.ai and Cognigy through prebuilt tools beside fixed flows, Agentforce through Salesforce Flows, Zendesk through integrations inside its helpdesk, and Yellow.ai through workflows and MCP connectors.

### Channels your customers use

List the channels your customers use today. Ada runs WhatsApp, Messenger and SMS through Zendesk Sunshine Conversations; every alternative here lists WhatsApp natively. Voice narrows the field: Decagon (70+ languages) and Sierra (59) lead on voice languages, Agentforce Voice is English only as of October 2026, Fin sells voice through sales, Kore.ai and Cognigy run voice through their own gateways, Zendesk voice agents need Zendesk Talk, Yellow.ai sells Nexus Vox, and Robylon includes voice phone calls from its Business plan.

### Where your team works

Decide where your human team works after the switch. A team in Freshdesk, Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Intercom, Salesforce or Gorgias can keep it with Robylon running inside. Fin runs on Salesforce Service Cloud, HubSpot, Freshdesk and Freshchat. A contact center on NiCE CXone or Genesys Cloud can keep its platform with Cognigy or Kore.ai, or move to Kore.ai's own contact center. Decagon and Sierra, like Ada, hand conversations to the platform you already run.

### Pricing at your volume

Ada, Decagon, Sierra, Kore.ai and Cognigy publish no rates, so compare published options at your own volume and treat the rest as quotes. On published prices for 3,000 chat and email conversations a month, 60% resolved by the AI (1,800 resolutions), 3 human agents and monthly billing:

| Tool | Option | AI cost a month | Seats a month | Total a month | AI cost per resolution |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Robylon | Business, 10,000 credits, Basic seats | $625.00 | $57.00 | $682.00 | $0.35 |
| Fin | Fin on another helpdesk | $1,782.00 | Not counted | $1,782.00 | $0.99 |
| Fin | Fin on Intercom, Advanced seats | $1,782.00 | $297.00 | $2,079.00 | $0.99 |
| Zendesk | AI agents, Suite Team seats, pay-as-you-go | $3,570.00 | $207.00 | $3,777.00 | $1.98 |

Robylon's figure is 3,000 conversations at about 7.5 credits each (22,500 credits): the Business 10,000-credit tier at $300 plus 13 extra 1,000-credit bundles at $25, and 3 Basic seats at $19. Agentforce publishes yearly prices only: on annual billing, Casey at $2 per resolution with 3 Service Cloud Core plus Contact Center Digital seats comes to $4,410.00 a month. Yellow.ai's Free plan bills $0.99 per resolution after 500 chat sessions, but its docs do not define a resolution, so it is not priced here.

## When to stay on Ada

- Your CX team already runs Playbooks, Processes and Coaching on Ada and owns the agent without engineering help.
- Your human team works in Genesys, NICE CXone, Amazon Connect, Twilio Flex or ServiceNow, and Ada's handoff into it is live.
- Your security review requires PCI DSS or AIUC-1 from the AI vendor.
- Your customers write in up to 60 languages and you rely on that coverage in chat and email.
- You book travel through Amadeus, Sabre or Travelport and use Ada's integrations with them.
- You negotiated a resolution-based contract, so conversations handed to a person are not what you pay for.

What usually drives a switch is the buying model and the channel setup: no published price, per-conversation charges on handovers, or WhatsApp that depends on Sunshine Conversations. If none of those applies, Ada is a strong place to stay.

## Moving off Ada

1. Baseline automated resolution rate, CSAT, billed conversations and cost per resolved conversation, by channel.
2. Export the Knowledge sources, Playbooks, Processes and the API, code and MCP tools behind each live Ada agent.
3. Decide where your human team works after the move: the current helpdesk or contact center, or the new vendor's inbox.
4. Map each channel: connect WhatsApp, Messenger and SMS directly if they ran through Sunshine Conversations, and move voice numbers last.
5. Connect the systems the agent must act in (order management, billing, CRM and booking) and rebuild the top intents first.
6. Test the new agent in bulk against real past conversations, in every language you serve.
7. Run it on one channel or one queue while Ada handles the rest, and compare resolution rate, CSAT and cost per resolution against the baseline.
8. Keep Ada available until the contract term ends, in case you need to roll back.

## Choosing an Ada alternative

Ada is an established enterprise AI agent: one Reasoning Engine across chat, email, voice and social, 60 languages for chat and email, and API, code and MCP tools since September 2026, built for CX teams to run themselves. For an enterprise that hands over to a large contact center and needs PCI DSS from the AI vendor, it remains a sound choice.

Move when the buying model or the channel setup stops fitting. Decagon and Sierra suit enterprises that want the same model from another vendor, Kore.ai and Cognigy suit large contact centers, Agentforce and Fin suit Salesforce teams, and Zendesk and Yellow.ai suit teams staying on Zendesk or needing many channels. Robylon suits teams that want the agent to take the action a ticket needs, run every channel from one setup and fit the stack they already run, and its Starter plan is free to try.

## Frequently asked questions

### What are the best Ada alternatives?

Robylon is the strongest Ada alternative for teams that want published prices and one AI agent across email, chat, voice and WhatsApp. Decagon and Sierra suit enterprises buying through sales, Fin and Salesforce Agentforce suit Salesforce teams, and Cognigy and Kore.ai suit large contact centers.

### What is a cheaper alternative to Ada?

Robylon is the cheapest option in this page's worked example, at $682.00 a month for 3,000 chat and email conversations, 60% resolved by AI, with 3 agents. Fin on another helpdesk comes to $1,782.00 and Zendesk to $3,777.00 in the same scenario. Ada publishes no price, so the saving cannot be stated exactly.

### How much does Ada cost?

Ada publishes no prices as of October 2026, and its pricing page redirects to a demo request. Ada bills most customers per conversation, so a conversation handed to a person is still charged, and offers a resolution-based model to some enterprises on terms it does not publish.

### Does Ada have a free plan or free trial?

Ada lists no free plan, free trial or self-serve signup as of October 2026, and access starts with a demo request. Robylon has a free Starter plan with 300 credits a month, Yellow.ai has a free plan with 500 chat sessions a month, and Fin offers a 14-day trial.

### How does Ada compare with Decagon and Sierra?

Ada, Decagon and Sierra all sell enterprise AI agents through sales with no published prices. Ada bills most customers per conversation and is built for CX teams to manage themselves. Decagon offers per-conversation or per-resolution billing and 70+ voice languages, and Sierra bills per outcome and holds FedRAMP High.

### Which Ada alternative connects WhatsApp natively?

Robylon connects WhatsApp natively from its Pro plan, alongside email, chat and voice. Every other tool on this list also lists WhatsApp as a native channel: Decagon, Sierra, Fin, Salesforce Agentforce, Kore.ai, Cognigy, Zendesk and Yellow.ai. Ada connects WhatsApp, Messenger and SMS through Zendesk Sunshine Conversations.

### Which Ada alternative works inside an existing helpdesk?

Robylon answers inside Freshdesk, Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Salesforce, Vtiger, Intercom, Freshchat, SalesIQ and Gorgias, so the human team keeps its helpdesk. Fin runs on Salesforce Service Cloud, HubSpot, Freshdesk and Freshchat. Ada, Decagon and Sierra hand conversations over to a helpdesk or contact center instead.

### Which Ada alternatives have a free plan?

Robylon and Yellow.ai both have free plans. Robylon Starter includes 300 credits a month, about 40 chat conversations. Yellow.ai Free includes 500 chat sessions a month, then bills $0.99 per resolution. Fin and Zendesk offer 14-day trials instead, and Kore.ai opens its free tier only to approved email domains.
